MALVERN's creative minds have been busy yesterday and today, adorning water features in and around the town for the 2016 Well Dressing festival.

The event is expected to see some 40 springs, spouts and troughs decorated with the theme of Friendship/L’Amitié, inspired by this weekend' singing of the twinning agreement between Malvern and the Pyrenean spa town of Bagnères-de-Bigorre.

This morning a team of dressers from the Holly Mount United Reformed Church were hard at work decorating the Rose Gully water feature in Back Lane, created when the Waitrose supermarket was built in the 1990s.

And down at Great Malvern railway station, built in Victorian times, a water trough has been decorated by Lucy Jones of Shrinking Violet Bespoke Floristry, which is based at the station.

For a full account of the well dressing, including a list of all the prize winners and lots of colourful photos, see next Friday's edition of the Malvern Gazette.
