POLICE and fire fighters were called out when two cars were discovered on fire at the Powick roundabout where the A449 meets the Southern Link Road.
The burning cars were spotted at 1.24am on Tuesday by the crew of a fire engine which had been sent out to another call-out in Powick.
The two vehicles were well alight and two hose reels were used by fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. There were no reported injuries.
According to police, the vehicles are a white Renault panel van and a blue Audi estate, both with 'for sale' signs in their windows.
Police are investigating the incident as a possible case of arson. Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident number 0027s/260416.
