A GLAMOROUS charity ball featuring a black tie dress code and a rendition of Frank Sinatra's New York, New York raised £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Debbie Kitchener and her partner Richard Evans organised the event at Powick Village Hall as her father is currently fighting cancer and has also organised coffee mornings at her home in the village for the last two years.
About 50 friends and family adhered to the black tie dress code with a splash of green for Macmillan filled the venue to enjoy a raffle and the sounds of jazz and swing singer Neil Kristopher.
Ms Kitchener said: "The night itself was a hit, with Neil Kristopher leading the way by keeping everyone dancing to his wonderful voice ending the night with New York New York and a floor full of Frank Sinatras.
"Thanks to everyone who made it a special night and once again put their hand in their pocket to raise money for such a brilliant cause.
"A thank you also to everyone who donated raffle prizes or their time to make a great night.
"Everyone has been affected by cancer and Macmillan do a wonderful job and need supporting.
"It may only be a small token in the big scheme but we have do what we can to beat this terrible illness."
Raffle prizes came from Boots, Andrew Slater, Dumbleton Hall, The New Four Seasons Restaurant and The Maltster public house.
