PUPILS at Madresfield CE Primary School put down their pens for a special day devoted to speaking and listening.
All 103 of the school's pupils, aged four-11, took part in No Pens Day Wednesday; a national event organised by the Communication Trust.
Claire Colbourne, a teaching assistant at the school, said: “At Madresfield, we believe that speech, language and communication skills underpin everything and directly affect our pupils’ life chances, and for this reason we have been delighted to support the Communication Trust by taking part in No Pens Day Wednesday for the second year.
"This fantastic event focused on speaking and listening activities and we have seen pupils and teachers taking part in team building, maths games, story-telling and poem writing about current affairs in the world around us.”
