A SUMMER fete at St Peter's Church in Powick proved an "excellent" family day out.
The event on Saturday (July 25) featured children's activities, stalls, a raffle and trips up the tower.
Live music was provided by ukulele players Lyn Snook and Mark Whittall-Williams and accordion expert Mike Ledbury while cream teas and refreshments were served up by Callow End WI.
The event raised £1,066 for the church, which will be used to repair a problematic fuel pipe before winter kicks off.
Meg Allsopp, who helped organise the fete, said: "We were blessed with sunshine.
"It was a well attended event, there was a really nice atmosphere and everyone seem to enjoy themselves."
Revered Sue Irwin added: "It was an excellent event and well supported by the local community."
