WOULD-be warriors are being given the chance to battle their way to victory and claim a glittering reward at a Worcester museum.
Visitors to the Way of the Warrior exhibition at Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum in Foregate Street are being given the chance to enter a special competition – with a prize of an official steel replica of a gladiator helmet worn by Russell Crowe as Maximus in the 2000 Roman epic Gladiator.
The Warrior Code is a trail of 10 questions, the answers to which are all contained within the exhibition, which features weapons and armour from a range of historical movies including Gladiator, The Last Samurai and War Horse.
Entry is £1, with all proceeds going towards future activities at the museum, and one winner will walk away with the gleaming prize when the exhibition closes in September.
The museum is also running a range of child-friendly events throughout the summer holidays, including warrior costume making Wednesday, July 22.
The art gallery and museum is open Monday to Saturday from 10.30am until 4.30pm. Closed Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
