POLICE are hunting shoplifters who struck at shops in Malvern Link in two incidents on the same day.

The first theft occurred between 1.35pm and 1.45pm on Wednesday, July 8, at Marks and Spencer on the Malvern Retail Park off Townsend Way.

A man entered the store and went straight to the food hall at the rear of the shop, took a bottle of Southern Comfort, rolled it up within his hoodie and left without paying.

On leaving the shop, he walked around the side of Café Nero where he collected a bicycle and rode off in the direction of Townsend Way. He is described as white, tall, slim with dark hair, and wore a blue t-shirt, green camo shorts and red hoodie. CCTV of this crime is being assessed.

The second incident occurred at the Co-op on Worcester Road, Malvern Link. A male walked into the store, took a shopping basket and stole 16 packs of steak and four joints of beef from a meat chiller and ran out without paying for them.

The offender was described as white, about six feet tall, slim build with short dark brown or black hair and possibly sideburns. He wore a black t-shirt with a picture of a car on the front, jeans and trainers.

In both cases, police are assessing CCVT footage of the incidents.

Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, citing incident number 0348s/080715 for the Marks and Spencer theft or 0201s/090715 for the Co-op incident.
