ANDREW Phillips Funeral Services in Malvern Wells will be holding a fundraising car washing service this weekend in aid of St Richard’s Hospice.

Car owners are invited to come along to the company's office in Wells Road between 11am and 4pm on Saturday or Sunday and get their car washed and waxed by the funeral service’s professional valets in return for a donation to the charity.

The event is expected to have a party atmosphere, with light refreshments and a barbecue available. There will also be a raffle for boxed presentation sets of the Bullet Wax Kits used by the professional valets.

Andrew Phillips said: “As funeral directors we’re used to washing cars and so whether you just want a quick wash or a full wax we would like to invite people to pop down on the day and use our professional car washing service.

“St. Richard’s Hospice has always been a charity close to my heart. The hospice has cared for family friends during their illnesses and the care that was given was amazing. So many times we hear very moving stories about the professional and caring service given by St Richard’s to families. So it is with great privilege that we can do a little to support this important local charity.”

St Richard’s Hospice provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with life-threatening illnesses and supports their families. Each year the hospice team supports over 2,600 patients and family members in Worcestershire with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.
