A MALVERN company founded by a father-and-son team celebrated its fifth anniversary this week.
David and Rowan McCann founded Energy Solutions Malvern, which provides renewable energy equipment such as solar panels and biomass boilers in 2010 at Mr McCann senior's home on Delamere Road.
The following year, the company bought a warehouse in Spring Lane, converted it into a working renewable energy showroom and have now completed hundreds of renewable energy installations across the Midlands and South West.
Energy Solutions now has a 12-strong team, and to mark the occasion, the staff decided to surprise David and Rowan with a mini-celebration.
One staff member, Trevor Horsley, had the difficult task of keeping the company's founders busy, while others set up a spread of bubbly and a birthday cake. A fake meeting was called, and the two were presented with a commemorative plaque.
"The surprise was a success with neither party suspecting a thing," said Karen Scott of the company.
