The Family History Centre at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Canada Way, Lower Wick, is holding two open days on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1.

Visitors will be able to find out about the range of resources available for free to those researching their ancestors as well as the work involved in making the records available.

The centre is also appealing for volunteers to lend a hand transcribing hand-written records onto computer systems to make them more widely available.
