VANDALS broke into allotments in Lower Broadheath, near Worcester, and threw plants and pots around.

The criminals entered the site in Martley Road between Tuesday, March 31 and Saturday, April 4.

Police said they had also found some evidence of drug use including rolled-up cigarette and what is believed to be a bong.

A police spokesman said it is believed the offenders are youths and they had found a bus pass on the site which they are using to investigate.

He added the daughter of one of the allotment owners, an elderly man, said he would be “devastated” to see the damage, although a polytunnel had been left untouched.
