MORE than 100 delegates from across the country attended the Countrywide Farmers Renewable Fuels Conference at Worcester's Sixways stadium, home of Worcester Rugby Club, to discuss energy issues such as biomass and how businesses, homes and farms can use renewable energy.
"Each year we waste enough heat in the way we generate our electricity in Britain to heat the whole country for free," said Sir Ben Gill, renewable energy specialist, past chairman of the Government's Biomass Task Force and Countrywide Farmers' director, who was chairing the conference.
"It is vital we make the change to renewable fuels, and we have given delegates a greater insight into how they can do this."
Countrywide Farmers' own sustainable energy policy was launched at the event.
