ENGINEERS are working on a faulty underground cable which caused power cuts to almost 4,000 homes in Worcester last night.
Western Power Distribution said it has crews working on the cables this morning (Tuesday) following a night of power cuts for large parts of the city.
They estimated 3,939 homes were without electricity from about 8.30pm mainly in the WR4 and Warndon areas of the city.
Electricity was returned to all properties in stages with power returned to all homes by 9.20pm.
A spokesman said: "We're sorry for the problems there today and any disruption it has caused."
