A MAN attempted to trick his way into a Worcester property by pretending to be a police officer.
The male knocked on the door of a house in Grove Field, Wardon, claimed he was a constable and asked to look in the rear garden.
He did not have any identification and was not wearing a uniform.
The homeowners refused him access and the offender walked off.
West Mercia Police were informed of the incident and conducted a search of the area but could not find the man.
Officers have described the offender as a white male who was about 5ft 9ins tall and wearing a black jacket and woolly hat.
