"CARS are safe here" is the message from business owners at a Malvern industrial estate.

Vandals targeted the Howsell Road Industrial Estate in September and last month but since then there has been no trouble at the site in Malvern Link and security has been stepped up with CCTV cameras covering the whole estate.

JH Cars, KRC Vehicle Repairs and Churchfield Engineering are among businesses at the site.

John Holliday, owner of JH Cars who has been trading at the site for around eight years, said: "Cars are safe here, I'm very confident in that.

"Customer's cars are well protected here, so feel free to leave them with us."

The site has a large, heavy metal gate, fencing around the site and CCTV cameras capturing all angles of the estate.

Marc Churchfield, co-owner of Churchfield Engineering, said: "We have had no problem at all since this happened, and even taken more cars on.

"Now it's been highlighted, it's even less likely to happen again now. It's all sorted now."

Keith Churchfield, who owns KRC Vehicle Repairs, says criminals would not get away with a repeat of the offences now more cameras have been installed.

"As well as the cameras in the site, CCTV has been put up near the train station, which covers the entire site now too.

"We've not had anything happen since, and with all the security measures here now and extra cameras, you wouldn't get away with committing crime here again.

"Customers are very safe in bringing their cars here. It's been highlighted greatly."
