IF you're planning a Boxing Day walk on the Malvern Hills, then local Scouts will be on hand to provide hot drinks to keep you going.

The Scouts will be holding a pop-up cocoa cafe in the car park at British Camp to help raise funds for a visit to Switzerland next year.

The cafe will be operating from a gazebo in the car park between 10am and 3pm, selling hot chocolate, teas and coffees.

The proposed trip is to the International Scout Centre at Kandersteg, in Switzerland, when Scouts from across Hereford and Worcester will be able to try out winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding and sledging.

Derek Barnes, county commissioner for Hereford and Worcester Scouts said: “Kandersteg provides a fantastic opportunity for young people and adults to try out a range of winter activities and to mix with Scouts of other nationalities – part of our everyday adventure in Scouting. It should be a fantastic experience for all those going from our county, and this cafe will help raise funds to send our Scouts off on a great adventure.”
