PUPILS at Great Malvern Primary School had the chance to meet their predecessors when the school's new classroom block was opened.
As part of the opening ceremony, former pupils were invited to come back, see the school as it is now and talk to current pupils.
The new extension provides six new classrooms and replaces a number of ageing prefabricated buildings.
The oldest of the former pupils, 95-year-old Nella Pettifor, joined five-year-old Matthew Notley in cutting the ribbon at the official opening.
Head Paul Jackson-Read said: "It was an honour to host our ex-pupils. Our children and staff loved hearing about tales of school life at Great Malvern Primary in the past.
"We were immensely proud of our choir who shared some of their favourite songs at the ceremony.
"It was a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate the opening of our new building with our school community."
The extension was built with a £1 million grant form the Academies Maintenance Capital Fund.
