JUSTICE in war torn Sierra Leone will be the focus of an address by the president of a Malvern-based charity.
Beacons Development Education Centre will be holding the lecture at University of Worcester on tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7pm.
Paul Jackson, Beacons president, will be speaking on the subject of justice in war torn Sierra Leone.
He was heavily involved in setting up a system of governance in Sierra Leone immediately following the civil war.
Mr Jackson has recently been working on ideas of how chiefs exercise authority through customary courts and how international programming usually fails to tackle these power structures.
Everyone is welcome to attend the free event which will be taking place in room EE1057 Edward Elgar Building, St John’s Campus, Henwick Grove.
To book, visit whosejusticeinsierraleone.eventbrite.co.uk or email BeaconsDEC@hotmail.com.
