THE Midlands region of the National Association of Care Catering paid a visit to Morgan Cars to complete a road relay throughout the country.
The association took the challenge of visiting every county in the country, during a campaign titled National Road Relay , in order to raise awareness of community meals services.
The car manufacturing giant hosted a pop-up luncheon club. where members of the local Age UK branch tucked in.
Jane Coleman, of National Association of Care Catering, said: "We want to remind everyone of the importance of retaining community meals services.
"We need to beat malnutrition as it is a serious issue and costs the tax payer £13b a year.
"Meals being delivered to someone’s home, not only provide good nutrition but also the equally important human contact, as the driver is often the only person they will see all day; this support also enables our vulnerable and elderly community members to remain independent and in their own homes for longer."
