A TEENAGE boy was punched and beaten as he lay in the road during a violent street robbery in Kidderminster.

The victim had to go to hospital following the robbery in Kidderminster between 4.20pm and 4.40pmon Sunday, November 16.

The victim, a 17-year-old boy from Kidderminster, was walking along Bewdley Hill when he was approached by an unknown man who asked him for a cigarette and threatened him with violence. The suspect punched the victim in the face, causing him to fall into the road. The suspect further assaulted the victim while he lay on the ground. After the suspect left, the victim realised that £20 was missing from inside his blazer pocket.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries to his face.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 22-28 years old and around 5ft 11 in height. At the time of the incident he was wearing baggy jeans with a short sleeved light blue polo shirt, he was also clean shaven.
