PLANS to deal with increasing pupils numbers in the northern part of Malvern will be on the agenda at two public meetings next week.

Somers Park Primary School has come with three options: a new primary school at Malvern Vale, an early years unit at Malvern Vale, and a new partnership academy or free school in the area.

The proposals were made in response to Worcestershire County Council's announcement that Somers Park could have to increase its intake from 60 to 90, Leigh and Bransford Primary School from 15 to 30, and Northleigh from 45 to 60.

The meetings next week are on Monday at Somers Park Primary, staring at 6pm, and Tuesday at Northleigh, also at 6pm. The following Tuesday, a meeting will be held at Leigh and Bransford at 5pm.
