THE A&E departments at both Worcestershire Royal Hospital and Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital are experiencing an unprecedented amount of demand for this time of year today.

Hospital bosses in Worcestershire are calling on anyone considering going to A&E to think about whether they really need emergency treatment.

Minor accidents such as cuts, sprains and rashes can be treated at Minor Injury Units in Malvern, Evesham, Kidderminster, Tenbury and Bromsgrove, where average waiting times are only about 20 minutes – much shorter than at A&E.

Pharmacists can also offer advice and over-the-counter remedies for conditions such as diarrhoea, minor infections, headaches or coughs and colds as well as twists and sprains.

Anyone unsure of whether they should visit A&E can call NHS 111.

For more information on MIUs in the county visit www.hacw.nhs.uk/our-services/minor-injuries-units.

Full information on all healthcare options available in the county can be found at www.isaandeforme.com.

Choking, chest pain, blacking out, blood loss and fractures are all considered emergencies and those with these symptoms should always go to A&E.

Like the whole of Britain due to The Foreign Labourious Party and the Schengen 'Agreement' and Lisbon 'Treaty' that treats born Brits like 2nd class citizens... Did you get to AGREE on the 'agreement' by VOTE, Brit? I know I didn't...

IMMIGRANT Benefits = Basic Tax Breaks for all too under MY SYSTEM%: 0% to 50% by 1 years work to 100% by 10, 3 months max on < £150/wk. Pension%: 0% to 100% by 25 years F.T. work...

You can go Europe-Wide with this if you like to, Euro-Traitors.

I discovered a few weeks ago and somewhat ironically, having cut myself with a jamonero knife to the bone, what happens when your government cuts health services to the bone.

The 'minor injury units' (those that are actually left) now close at 9pm, and thanks to cuts to mental health services all of Worcester's scizos and nutters all live in A&E.

I was told at 1am, after waiting an hour, that I would have to wait another two and a half hours for some stitches to be put in.

I sodded off home and made do with a plaster. Thankfully nothing has turned green or fallen off!

I'm_not_bitter:: If you're NOT BITTER you're an ANTI-NATIONALIST - the most socially and globally destructive brain-drain, local-opressing philosophy ever to come from the minds of uber-liberal (out of) control freaks... If you can't understand the concept of IMMIGRANTS paying MORE TAX with LESS BENEFITS that rise over time then GET A BRAIN, SERVICE OVER LOADER... I live in EASTERN EUROPE, AKA Worcester - except most Eastern European nations do NOT have an overloaded A & E problem.... Comprende??

In my world The Walk In Center would have been a well secured weekend minor injuries and TRIAGE zone for shipping to PRISON or A & E / Hospital if more serious as well as a doctors surgery during the day....
