LITTLE Oaks Day Nursery held their annual summer fayre recently and raised more than £600 for charity.

The nursery, in Maple Road, hosted a barbecue, a range of games and activities and even a pre-school graduation ceremony for the children who are starting school this September.

Certificates and silver acorns were handed out to the children who were 'graduating'.

The event raised £600 for Malvern Special Families- the nursery's chosen charity for this year- and £50 was also presented to charity Rabbit Rescue and Friends, which brought along rabbits for the children to pet.

Shona Toon, manager of the nursery, said:"The staff really enjoy these events where they can celebrate the continuing success of the nursery and its children and also make a significant contribution to a local charity."

Malvern Special Families is a charity which provides social opportunities for children with learning disabilities.
