MALVERN was put on the map as a Galactico turned up for football training in a rare Morgan car.
Instead of Porsches, Hummers or Lamborghinis and the like, Real Madrid FC's Alvaro Arbeloa pulled up at the training ground of arguably the world's biggest club in a Morgan 3 wheeler.
A spokesman for Morgan Cars said: "As one of the most high profile players in world football we are immensely proud to have welcomed Arbeloa into the Morgan family.
"The unique 3 Wheeler attracts some very interesting and high profile customers, of which Arbeloa is one of the most famous. He has owned the car for a while but his recent trip to the Real Madrid training ground in the 3 Wheeler has caused a real storm on social media and in the press.
"The interest in the 3 Wheeler and the positive energy shown towards Arbeloa owning the car reinforces the global demand and excitement that the 3 Wheeler has created.”
The 3 Wheeler as a model was the first car the company built back in 1909, and was re-introduced in 2011.
There have only been 1300 of them built, and are sold as far wide as America and China.
Full-back Arbeloa joined Real Madrid from Liverpool in 2009, and has won the World Cup and European Championships with the Spanish national team.
