MALVERN rocked out over the weekend as more than 120 musicians took to the stage in venues across the town.
The third Malvern Rocks festival saw performances take place in 16 venues.
Among those who performed was 19-year-old James Mattey, from Pershore, who played sets at CarnivalRecords, in Church Street, on Saturday and Sunday.
As well as solo gigs James also fronts a three-piece rock/funk band called Prism.
Another performer was Alan Mason, who played a set at The Chase Inn on Saturday night and managed to escape the elements.
"It was a great turnout and a wonderful day," he said. "Halfway through my one hour set at about 9.30pm, the heavens opened and there was a torrential rainstorm.
" Fortunately, everyone rushed to the rescue and saved the equipment from the heavy rain making it possible for me to continue playing outside without having to break, and the audience then sat indoors with the windows open watching the show from there.
"Everyone pulled together and made it a night to remember as the rain subsided into a balmy summer night on the hillside."
