THE fundraising legacy of one of Malvern's greatest charity supporters will be continued at a special event this Saturday (July 26).

Reg Box raised almost £130,000 for Midlands Air Ambulance before his death in August 2013, aged 95.

Mr Box raised money for the air ambulance with a packed schedule of entertaining at care homes and organising bingo evenings and other fund-raising events.

And while the flying first aid charity is no longer benefitting from his support directly, it is continuing to receive funds in his name.

His grand-daughter Sarah now organises craft fairs to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance in Mr Box's memory.

Her latest event is taking place at the Lyttelton Well, in Church Street, Malvern, between 11am and 3pm on Saturday. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Mr Box, who lived in Brook Farm Drive, received an award from Midlands Air Ambulance in 2011 recognising him as its longest-serving fundraiser.
