ORGANISERS of the Malvern Outdoor Festival in Victoria Park, Malvern Link, are keeping their fingers crossed for fine weather on Sunday.

Last year's event, the first, enjoyed bright sunshine, and everyone wants the same this time round, but if the worst comes and the heaven opens, there will still be plenty to do inside the 100-foot marquee that's being set up in the park.

The festival, runs from noon to 7pm and has plenty to entertain everyone, including bike races, climbing wall, shooting range, professional BMX stunt display team and much more.

Local businesses will be providing high-quality food, and there will be a barbecue and pig roast plus a bar.

Market stalls, games, fairground rides, bouncy castles and live music provided by local bands and DJs complete the attractions.

The event is raising money for charity Hope Unlimited, which aims to increase employment and life opportunities for young people in Malvern

Tanya Trotman, one of the organisers, said: “I believe Hope Unlimited ties in beautifully with our focus on getting individuals motivated, moving and involved in our local community, encouraging positive attitudes and self-esteem by playing outdoors.

"Entry will be just £1 per person so we hope for a good turn out again this year so we can make this a yearly event." For more details, including race times, visit the Malvern Outdoor Festival Facebook page.
