BEREAVED families are being invited to remember their loved ones in the first special Sunflower Memory Days at St Richard’s Hospice.
Memory days will be held this Sunday and Sunday, August 3 after the new event was created for the hospice's 20th anniversary celebrations.
For a donation, families will receive a 20cm high wooden sunflower on which the name of the loved one can be written.
They will then be able to plant the sunflower in the hospice garden.
The days are open to all people, not just those connected to St Richard's.
Lizzie Brazier, St Richard’s community fundraiser, said: “The sunflower memory days will be held in our lovely hospice garden which forms a beautiful backdrop for this special occasion.
"The days will also include a time of reflection led by hospice chaplain Rev David Knight.”
