A PRE-SCHOOL near Worcester has made an usual appeal - for donations of soil.
Following a recent Osfted inspection into Broadheath Pre-School in Lower Broadheath which recommended it should improve its outside area, staff have been working to create an outside area where children can play and learn.
Deputy manager Tom Neachell said Pershore-based construction company Chalcroft Construction had generously donated three large planters made from reclaimed wood to the school, which has 36 children on its books, but they had no soil to fill them with.
"It would be really, really great if someone could help," he said.
"We need about a tonne and a half of soil to fill all three planters.
"We would like to be able to plant things before the summer holidays.
"The kids have been gagging to get on with it."
Anyone who can help can call the school on 01905 640 285.
