THE head of an organisation representing the interests of patients across Worcestershire has warned the county’s health services could face a challenging year ahead.
With massive overhauls of the three acute hospitals and emergency care in the county in progress and the Care Act recently receiving Royal Assent, Healthwatch Worcestershire chairman Peter Pinfield has said health and social care could face significant change.
He will speak at the organisation’s annual conference at Sixways Stadium on Wednesday, June 25 along with delegates from the NHS at Worcestershire County Council where Healthwatch will present a 17-page report on its activities over the past year and what it plans to do over the next 12 months at the conference and attendees will be given the chance to quiz health bosses.
