POLICE raided a ground floor flat in central Worcester, seizing £800 of heroin and crack cocaine.

Officers from West Mercia Police used an enforcer to batter their way into the property at 10am yesterday (Thursday).

The officers from South Worcestershire Proactive CID executed a search warrant under the misuse of drugs act.

As a result a 58-year-old man and 29-year-old both from Worcester, and a 29-year-old man from Walsall were arrested for being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

Heroin and crack cocaine valued at around £800 was seized. Officers were acting on intelligence and calls from members of the public.

All three men were bailed pending further enquiries and will return to the Police station in August.

DI Stuart Murphy said: "Drugs bring misery to so many people and blight lives. They also bring anti social behaviour to areas where drugs are being sold. I would urge the public to contact their local Police to report any suspicious activity. This shows that our communities will not tolerate drug abuse, if our communities provide information we will act."
