MORE beautiful private gardens will be opening their gates as part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS) this month.

Visitors will be able to enjoy three acres of plantsman's gardens at Shuttifield Cottage, Birchwood, Storridge, Malvern on Saturday, June 28.

There are walks available in a 20 acre wood with ponds and natural wild areas with rhododendrons and azaleas.

It also boasts a small deer park and vegetable garden.

The garden will be open from 1.30pm and 5pm and admission costs £4 adults and children free.

Highfield Cottage Kings Green Wichenford has not been open to the public before but will be ready to welcome visitors on Sunday, June 29.

The chocolate box cottage garden with woodland occupied by ornamental pheasants will be open from 2pm to 6pm.

There will also be an exhibition of art with plants and homemade teas for sale.

Admission costs adults £3.50 and children free.

Two and a half acres of garden featuring a stumpery, revolving summerhouse and Roman temple can also be explored on Sunday, June 29.

Astley Towne House, Astley, near Stourport-on-Severn will be open from 1pm to 5pm with entry costing adults £4 and children free.
