PUPILS at Colwall Primary School are busy with the latest craze for rainbow looming in preparation for the summer fair tomorrow (Saturday, June 14).

The craze involves making bracelets and other items out of coloured rubber bands, and children from the school's Year Five hope to create a giant loomband fishtail, one of the many patterns that can be made from the bands.

The loombanding is just one of the attractions at the fete, which starts at 2pm at the school on Colwall Green.

There will be lots of traditional fun and games, and refreshments ranging from tea and cake to strawberries and cream, to local ales and cider.

There will be face painting and a treasure hunt in the school's new sand pit, as well as a bouncy castle and an inflatable assault course.

A car will be filled with balloons, ready for people to guess how many there are, while a grand draw boasts Manchester United tickets at the top of a long list of prizes.
