HEREFORDSHIRE'S centre for the arts is seeking some World War One artefacts, family history and memorabilia to put on display.

The Courtyard in Hereford is marking the outbreak of the Great War with a series of plays, workshops and films during the autumn, with variety performance finale from community groups and choirs on Tuesday, November 11, called Lest We Forget.

The artefacts and stories collected from this call out will go towards building the content for the variety show, as well as being displayed within the building during September to November.

Curtis Fulcher, the Courtyard's marketing and sales manager, said: “We would love to hear from as many people as possible - no matter how small the story.

"Herefordshire has a rich cultural history from experiences within the 1914-18 war and it would be great to capture some of the efforts that were played through farming, fighting or working at the munitions factory in Rotherwas.”
