A MOTORIST was taken to hospital for examination following a collision with a telephone pole in Leigh, near Worcester.
The collision happened in Brockamin Lane, at around 8.15am this morning.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "It is believed the adverse weather conditions were a contributing factor.
"The driver was negotiating a country lane then collided with the telephone pole.
"There were no major injuries caused, but an ambulance crew took the motorists to hospital, with minor injuries, as a precaution."
One fire crew from Malvern, and a crew from BT, also attended the scene to clear the telephone pole from the road as it had fallen due to the collision.
The road is now re-open.
