DANCE fever hit a school as children put on their dancing shoes to raise money for charity.
Youngsters and staff at Leigh and Bransford Primary School, Leigh Sinton, near Malvern, wore their favourite dance outfits and putting their best foot forward for Macmillan Cancer Support's Dress Up and Dance campaign on Wednesday, June 4.
They were moving and grooving for the fundraising drive which is run in conjunction with Stagecoach Theatre Arts schools and asks pupils to come into school wearing their favourite dance outfits in return for a donation to the charity.
Teacher Lucy Tedds, who ran the dance workshops, said: “Children and staff really enjoyed the day and we all dressed up and joined in learning a range of moves from different styles of dance. We managed to raise just under £200 for this important cause.”
All the money raised goes towards Macmillan’s vital work, providing medical, financial, practical and emotional support to the two million people currently living with cancer in the UK, and their families.
