A CHAMBER choir will mark a milestone anniversary after clocking up more than 100 concerts.

The Hills Singers celebrate their 21 years with a performance at Christ Church, Avenue Road, Malvern, and the choir's members voted or the repertoire to be included in the concert from music they have sung over the years.

The programme will consist of a varied and colourful collection of favourites, with composers such as Lotti, Bruckner, Holst, Vaughan Williams, Elgar, Britten, Lauridsen, Tippett and Chilcott all being represented.

Carol Green originally formed the group to help fill a slot in a concert at the Bishop’s Palace in Hereford and the 16 singers voted to stay together after just three rehearsals.

Their repertoire is largely a capella and it spans the centuries, including both serious and lighter music, while they have performed with the likes of the English Touring Opera and the Armonico Ensemble at Malvern Theatres.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £10 or £5 for under-16s.
