MALVERN director of rugby David Robins was furious with his side's lack of discipline as they went down 22-19 at Lichfield in Midlands Two West.
"We totally lost any semblance of discipline out there and threw away what should have been two comfortable points," said Robins. "Three yellow cards meant we played almost half the game with 14 men and that is totally unacceptable.
"We let Lichfield dictate the entire second-half and the players didn't respond, instead making some naive decisions and continuing to give away penalties.
"The lads know full well that they need to make amends to the travelling support for such an inept performance.
"The excuse we are missing some players just doesn't hold water and we will be expecting a much improved performance against Stafford at home."
