COMMUNITY Action is about to launch its biggest-ever promotion to highlight the problem of social isolation in Malvern.
The campaign is the brainchild of Malli Wadge, vice-chair of Friends of Community Action, who will shortly reach her 60th birthday.
She has volunteered for Community Action for the last two years, and decided to mark the milestone anniversary by highlighting the work the group does to reduce social isolation.
On Monday, May 26, Community Action will launching Stuck in? - Get Out!, a special promotion to recruit volunteers and to advertise its services to those in need.
The promotion will feature a special display in the Tourist Information Centre, Church Street,.
Susie Forbes of Community Action said: "Being stuck within four walls is a major problem to the elderly and housebound in Malvern. Community Action is pioneering a project to get those people out and about in their own community and therefore achieving maximum independence."
Anyone who want to volunteer can contact 01684 892381 or info@communityaction.org.uk.
