POLICE are investigating the unexplained death of a Latvian man and are appealing for two men they believe can help with their enquiries to make contact.

Aleksandrs Andzans, aged 37, spent the evening socialising with work colleagues in Smiths Meadow, Wyre Piddle, Pershore on Saturday (May 17).

Witnesses have spoken to officers and believe they saw Mr Andzans suffering several heavy falls in the park.

His colleagues helped to transport him home and after arriving, his condition deteriorated and was later admitted to hospital. He was subsequently found to have severe head and brain injuries. Officers are trying to establish the circumstances leading up to his death.

Police are seeking witnesses to help them with their investigation.

Detective Sergeant Pete Sherwood said: “I wish to try and identify two men that were sat in the park all evening independent of this group.

"They are thought to have helped Mr Andzans’s colleagues to get him home safely.

“I appeal to them to make contact with the police by calling 101 or attending Pershore police station.”

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 135S 180514.
