A DOOR into the past has opened thanks to workshops which help people explore history.

Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service is helping people discover more about the past through quarter sessions in the latest in their exploring archives workshops at the Hive in Worcester.

The sessions enable students, families and local historians the chance to delve deep into history and pull out information about crime and the poor laws of the time.

With an easy to use referencing system, visitors will have the chance to search back and identify their hometown or village and discover what went on there.

Paul Hudson, learning and outreach manager, Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service, said: "There are wide range of fascinating stories."

Places are limited and are priced at £6 each. These are always popular so need to be booked.
