THE Blue Cross shop in Barnards Green is inviting pet-lovers to their dogs to a Paws for Tea party tomorrow (Saturday).
The shop is celebrating its first birthday, and staff and volunteers have been busy baking in preparation for the day. Visitors will be able to pick up delicious treats, there will be pet portraits and the chance to win a hamper for your cat or dog in the raffle.
Staff members will also be collecting sponsorship for a bid to spend 24 hours in a dog crate, in one-hour shifts, to raise money for Blue Cross animal hospitals and rehoming centres across the country.
Shop manager Mollie Prior said: “What easier way to help needy pets than by enjoying a cup of tea and slice of cake? Every cake we sell means Blue Cross hospitals and rehoming centres can help even more needy pets."
