A FAMILY music festival will provide charities with a ray of hope this summer.

The Sunshine Festival in Upton is supporting Worcestershire Cancer Aid as their major charity partner for 2014 and there will be a raffle on the Fish Meadow site from Friday to Sunday, August 22-24, with donation buckets placed at each bar.

Worcestershire Cancer Aid has been helping cancer sufferers and their families since 1974 and is run by a small group of very dedicated volunteers based in Upton.

Grants are made to help support people throughout the county who have been diagnosed with any form of cancer.

The festival is also offering trade stands to local good causes to sell merchandise, stages raffles and explain the work they carry out in the community.

Support is being extended to St Richard’s Hospice and Acorns Children’s Hospice as well via the Hospices Lottery, with scratch cards for sale at £1 each.
