THE very best wordsmiths will be going head-to-head at an eccentric rural festival this summer.
Organisers of Nozstock: The Hidden Valley are seeking entries for their Nozslam 2014 competition which presents performance poetry with a playful competitive edge.
Budding linguists can send their three-and-a-half minute videos to nozslam@nozstock.com by 5pm on Sunday, May 25 and the submitted entries will be uploaded to the festival's YouTube channel to allow the public to have their say.
A panel of judges will pick their four favourites from the top 10 and they will each receive free tickets to the event at Rowden Paddocks, Bromyard, and a performance slot in the Tent of Temporary Thought.
The overall winner will also get a pair of tickets to next year's festival along with a performance slot and a number of other Nozstock goodies and perks.
This year's festival runs from Friday to Sunday, August 1-3 with a prehistoric-style Jurassic Farm theme.
