POLICE are appealing for information to help them trace a 37-year-old Polish man who went missing from Kidderminster Hospital.

Andrzej Matuszczyk was last seen in the car park at the hospital, where he was a patient, at 11.45am on Monday, April 14.

He is described as 6ft, of slim build, with short dark hair and was last seen wearing burgundy and grey camouflage combat trousers, army-style black boots, a black jumper, black fleece and possibly a black cap.

Mr Matuszczyk, who does not speak English, came to the country in December and worked for a few months at a mushroom factory in Evesham.

Inspector Paul Crowley from police in Kidderminster said: “We are very concerned for this man’s welfare as he hasn’t been seen for 10 days. He doesn’t speak any English and he may appear to be scared or anxious. He does not know the Kidderminster area well.

“He could be anywhere in Worcestershire or he may have moved on to the West Midlands. We are asking anyone who knows him or has seen him since 14 April to contact us.”

Anyone with information about Mr Matuszczyk and his whereabouts is asked to call police immediately on the non emergency number 101 quoting incident number 612s 140414.
