IT was a packed house that greeted Hanley Castle High School’s recent production of Grease.

More than 100 pupils and staff staged the popular American classic musical.

Director Suzy Parker and musical co-ordinator, James Felton, conjured up awe inspiring performances from the cast of actors, musicians and crew.

The lead roles were taken by Oli Price as Danny Zuko and Sandy was brought to life by Charlotte Anderson- Ilic.

J’Dunn Gormley as Teen Angel put in a good performance but the school said all of the pupils could be proud of their contribution.

Headteacher Lindsey Cooke said: “I have rarely seen such an awe inspiring performance in a school show and everyone involved who had worked tirelessly for six months to stage the production deserved huge praise and congratulations."
