POLICE have reported a spate of pedal cycle thefts in Evesham and Pershore.
West Mercia Police is appealing to anyone that has seen anything suspicious in relation to the thefts or are aware of anyone that has suddenly received a lot of bikes or is selling them.
There was a theft of a bike between 10am on Monday, April 21 and 9.30pm the following day at Martin Avenue, Evesham. Persons unknown have approached the shed in a group of sheds at the rear of flats. They have then damaged the entry code pad on the front of the shed, smashing the pad and have gained entry. Once inside the shed they have removed an Apollo grey, black and red coloured mountain bike.
Between 3.30pm on Monday, April 21 and 1pm the following day, also at Martin Avenue, thieves gained entry to an insecure communal garden shed that local residents used to store their bikes and similar items in. The offender(s) have removed the front wheel from the injured party's push bike and made off. Those with information can contact the police on their non-emergency number, 101.
