A VILLAGE tea room has helped a woman living with cancer tick off an item on her bucket list.

BBC correspondent and television reporter Helen Fawkes is aiming to complete 50 things on her list after being diagnosed with inoperable ovarian cancer and this month she is ticking off number 21 thanks to the Garden Tea Rooms at Witley Church and Court in Great Witley, near Worcester.

Her friend and former BBC colleague Gill Edmonds, who runs the tea rooms, offered her the wall space to showcase 16 of her photographs featuring cows in a collection entitled Have I Got Moos For You.

Ms Fawkes said: "For as long as I can remember I’ve loved taking photographs of cattle. Growing up on a farm in Gloucestershire meant they were always in the fields around us.

"With a gentle and curious nature, I think they are wonderful animals. I’d always fancied having an exhibition of my pictures but never thought much more about it until I came up with my list for living.

My friend Gill, who runs the Garden Tea Rooms in Worcestershire offered to display my work."

The exhibition runs until the end of April and the tea rooms are open every day, including Bank Holidays, from 11am to 5pm.
