YOUNGSTERS from St Matthias Church in Malvern Link showed off their creativity when the school held an Easter bonnet parade.

"It's the second year we've done it and it's proving very popular," said head Claire Davies.

Parents came into the school for a special craft session to help their children design and make the hats.

And then on Wednesday, it was time to parade them in public.

"The children came in and registered as usual, and them they all put on their bonnets and we went out out of the school gate, round into Church Road, and back round to return to the school," said Mrs Davies. "The parents lined the streets and cheered their children on.

"There was really an amazing variety of bonnets. There were daffodils and other flowers, chicks, rabbits and much more," said Mrs Davies.

"The children really enjoy it and they were all smiles as they paraded around the community showing off their bonnets."
