THE South Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group – the organisation responsible for arranging and paying for health services in the area – is on target to make a surplus of £3.1 million at the end of this financial year.

A meeting of the group’s governing body on Thursday, March 27 heard the organisation was set to meet its revised target of making a one per cent budget surplus at the start of April.

Although the CCG had originally planned to make a surplus of £6 million, or two per cent, this was revised following increased financial pressures.
